CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - An annual auction of seized and found items in Macomb County was held Saturday in Clinton Township.
The auction offered deals on cars, lawn equipment, tools, and more. The county car that Macomb County Clerk Karen Spranger crashed in April was among the items up for grabs.
"I always say if it's good enough to steal, it's good enough to buy," said Jeff Derowski, the county's assistant purchasing manager.
Old trucks from the county road commission were also available since new ones have been purchased.
Jill Smith, of Canine Companions Rescue Center in Clarkston, was at the auction looking for an animal control truck.
"It would help immensely. Right now we pack crates into a van, and this would be easier for dogs and us," she said.
