Couple carjacks teen after accident in Detroit

Incident happened Wednesday near Faust, Warren avenues

DETROIT - Detroit police are looking for a couple that carjacked a 16-year-old this week.

Police said the teen was near Faust and Warren avenues Wednesday evening when he accidentally hit a car.

A man, armed with a handgun, and woman got out of that car, confronted the teen and then took off with his 2007, black Ford Fusion.

The car also had the teen's personal items and an undisclosed amount of money inside.

These are the descriptions police have released of the carjackers:

  • Black man in his 20s, 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, short afro, clean shaven with a light complexion. He was wearing a red jacket. 
  • A black woman in her 20s, 5 feet 2 inches, 145 pounds, long, multicolored curly hair. She was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
