Here's a good way to remember your anniversary: match your wedding day to your town's ZIP code.

That's what one couple in Massachusetts did.

Longtime Amesbury residents Cheryl Bennett and Steven DeLong decided to get hitched on Wednesday -- Jan. 9, 2013 -- the same date as the town's ZIP code of 01913, The Daily News of Newburyport reported.

The pair held a short outdoor ceremony at the town gazebo with their children from previous marriages as witnesses.

"What better place and time to do it," Bennett told UPI. "People just pick dates all the time, so to have a date with such significance is really special."

Fascinated by numbers, Bennett told The Daily News the ZIP code wedding idea was hers.

Her favorite numbers are 11 and 22, and her new husband's birthday is Nov. 22, according to The Associated Press.
