Customers waiting for help after getting watered down gas from New Baltimore gas station

NEW BALTIMORE, Mich. – Customers who filled their tanks at a gas station Sunday in New Baltimore got watered down gas, and now they are waiting for the help after the owners said they would make it right.

Gas was watered down when heavy rains seeped into a tank.

One customer, Jennifer Beckley had to pay $770 to repair her truck after she got the watered down gas.

The owner of the Valero on Jefferson Avenue and 23 Mile Road told customers to call their insurance companies. Beckley said she did, but she hasn't heard back.

"I haven't gotten a claim. I haven't heard anything," she said.

Owner Mo Makki said Thursday night that those affected will "be made whole" if they can prove they purchased the watered down gas.
