Dearborn police speak with 2 Family Dollar customers about murders

Police say customers not persons of interest in double murder, but may have valuable information

DEARBORN, Mich. – Dearborn police said Thursday two customers who were in the Family Dollar store Monday night before a murder and abduction happened have come forward.

Police Chief Ron Haddad said the customers are not persons of interest in the crimes, but may have valuable information about what happened.

Family Dollar store coworkers killed

Joe Orlando, 20, was found shot to death Tuesday morning in the store off Michigan Avenue near Outer Drive.

Police said it appears someone had killed him the night before and abducted store manager Brenna Machus.

Machus had been missing until Thursday morning, when sources said her body was found in a wooded area off Michigan Avenue and the Southfield Freeway.

Police said a 911 call led them to the body.

Police looking for man in surveillance video:

Police have released a 17-second surveillance video of a person of interest waving his arm as he entered the store Monday night with a hood over his head. His face isn't clear in the video.
