Detroit Mayor Duggan sets up plowing hotline

Mayor wants to make sure neighborhood streets are getting plowed effectively

DETROIT - Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan is trying to do what none of his recent predecessors could: effectively plow the city's side streets.

Duggan made a bold announcement Friday.

"We want to make it easy for citizens to let us know how our contractors did and if they missed a spot, (they) will get right back out there," he said.

Residents can call in plowing complaints at this number: 313-224-6000

They also can go to and fill out a form.
