Detroit police: Stolen van loses control, crashes into houses

3 people arrested after incident near Mack, Chalmers

DETROIT - A speeding van crashed and rolled into two houses Tuesday on Detroit's east side.

Police said a task force from Detroit and Grosse Pointe witnessed three men stripping a stolen vehicle. The suspects suddenly got into the stolen Dodge van and sped off.

They lost control near Mack and Chalmers, flipping the van and crashing.

The three suspects got out and ran, but were all arrested.
