DETROIT – The Detroit Bully Corps is hoping to find the owner of an American Pit Bull Terrier who was found shot Tuesday night on the city's eastside.
The group said the dog was found bleeding with a gunshot wound to the shoulder in a yard on Lodge Drive near East Jefferson Avenue.

The dog, who has been given the name Tarantino, was taken to Emergency Veterinarian Hospital of Ann Arbor.
"It appears this canine is someone's pet that somehow got away from his owner," says Bill Bellottie, Detroit Bully Corps Co-Founder and Director of Operations. "He does not look like he has been on the streets for very long. He has good muscle tone and a nice coat. Despite the large bullet wound in his shoulder, he is in stable condition."
Tarantino has a sable brown coat with a white chest and white feet. He has flop ears, is not neutered, and was found wearing a black collar but no identification tags or microchip.
Anyone with information about the shooting should contact the Detroit Police Department's Northeast Precinct at 313-596-1100. Anyone who believes Tarantino may be their lost pet should contact Detroit Bully Corps with proof of ownership, including medical records and photos.
If no one comes forward during the mandatory stray hold period and after the dog recovers from his injuries, he will be placed into the Detroit Bully Corps rehabilitation program until he is ready to be placed up for adoption.
