Eastbound I-94 reopens at US-23 in Ann Arbor after accident

Crash between 2 semi-trucks shuts down stretch of interstate

ANN ARBOR – The eastbound lanes of I-94 were closed at US-23 in Ann Arbor because of a crash involving two semi-trucks.

Michigan State Police said no injuries have been reported, but one of the trucks lost part of their load along the roadway.

Eastbound I-94 traffic was routed to southbound US-23 -- this traffic then exited at Michigan Ave and continued east and re-enter eastbound I-94 near Ypsilanti.

The interstate reopened just before 3 p.m. and police say there is currently still a large traffic back log on east bound I-94.
