Officers found a two-car crash Friday at about 1 a.m. on northbound I-75, west of Rochester Road. The driver of a gray 2013 Chevrolet Malibu had abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

The alleged driver was located at a nearby hotel. Police said Burleigh admitted to being involved in a crash, but denied driving the vehicle and would not reveal who was driving. The 25-year-old driver had an expired Michigan driver’s license.

The front desk clerk told officers Burleigh admitted to driving the vehicle when it crashed and had been drinking, according to police.

Officers used the hotel computer which was still open on the woman’s Facebook page, showing a message with another individual, stating she was involved in a crash and she was drunk, according to police.

Police said the woman admitted to having consumed alcohol two hours prior to the crash. A preliminary breath test resulted in a blood alcohol content level of .12 percent, police said.

Burleigh was given a $5,000 bond.
