Family in shock after Pontiac woman found strangled

Rosaline Lee, 32, found dead along shore of Terry Lake in Pontiac

PONTIAC, Mich.A family in Pontiac is trying to understand why their loved one was killed, and who would do it.

Rosaline Lee was found dead along the shore of Terry Lake over the weekend.

Police say the 32-year-old was strangled. Her family is left wondering who would want to harm such a sweet woman, an aspiring nurse and a mother.

"As her big sister I've always tried to protect her and I am so sad I wasn't here," said the victim's sister Richelle Ransom.

Ransom can't believe her sister, who the family called Rhonda, is gone.

"It's a shock to us. We are a strong family and we're getting through it," she said.

Lee was last seen Sunday morning around 3 a.m and investigators believe she was murdered soon after.

Police say her body was dumped in the lake before a fisherman discovered it.

"I can not think about the last minute of my sisters life, only thinking about what she was thinking about and how she was hurt," said Ransom.

Detectives found Lee's van a block away from the lake. People who live nearby told police it was parked in the area around 10 p.m. Saturday night.

Police have been following up on leads and searching every inch of this van and they are hoping to find something that will lead them to the killer.
