Police said the teen, described only as high school aged, was walking around 7 a.m. in the Chatham Hills apartment complex, which is off Grand Rive Avenue between Drake and Halsted roads, when the man got out of parked car and started trying to talk to her. He was in a gray, newer model sports car, possibly a Dodge Challenger.

Police said the man asked the student to go with him, but she ignored him and kept walking.

The man eventually drove off.
