LAKE ORION, Mich. - Federal investigators who were following a trail of child pornography images and video were led to an apartment in Lake Orion.

The allegations against the man who lives at the apartment, Michael Pierce, can be described as shocking, sickening and sad. In a federal complaint, Homeland Security agents who were tracking online child pornography images and videos said they were led to Pierce's home in the heart of Lake Orion.

It's a relatively quiet, unassuming apartment building. Adam Dickson lives in the same building and returned home Wednesday to a raid going down at Pierce's place.

"I'm just shook about the whole thing, you know, I can't believe it. I can't believe that someone who seems so normal is just really sick in the head," said Dickson.

During the raid, agents found videos of three children being sexually abused. They also found Pierce, who federal agents said admitted to abusing the children and recording the acts on video. The children are two 8-year-old girls and a 5-year-old boy.

According to the complaint, Pierce told the agents he "is not going to get better." When asked if he would have continued to molest children if law enforcement had not stopped him, the complaint states Pierce said, "I don't know."

Dickson has a 6-year-old son who played in the yard with the victims and with Pierce. The boy was interviewed by investigators.

"I'm just going to hold my boy a little tighter tonight," said Dickson. "It's crazy that there are people out here like this."

Pierce is charged with production of child pornography, distribution and receipt of child pornography, and possession of child pornography.
