HARSENS ISLAND, Mich. – Firefighters contained a large brush fire Thursday evening on Harsens Island.
There were no reports of injuries but the fire burned close to some buildings and structures.
Firefighters drenched the surrounding area with water as they worked to contain it.
The fire nearly was out just after 6 p.m.
