Forecast: flurries, cloudy skies Tuesday afternoon

Metro Detroit could see temps in mid 30s by Friday

DETROIT - Snow showers fizzled out in most areas through the late morning and some of us on the east side didn't see a single flake through 11 a.m.

Still, a few light spotty snow showers are possible into the early afternoon and then a few flurries. Mostly cloudy skies will prevail for the rest of your Tuesday with highs near 20 degrees and light winds SW 5-10 mph.

There's another chance for light snow Wednesday morning, but our latest model data is more in line with another round of spotty, light snow during the morning commute. Highs should reach the middle to upper 20s with mostly cloudy skies and dryer into the afternoon with nothing more than a few flurries.

We may see temps in the mid 30s to near 40 degrees by Friday. But, as clouds fill in late morning and into the afternoon we may struggle to hit those higher numbers. There's also a chance for snow and perhaps isolated areas of a wintry mix if temps warm enough.

If it's all snow Friday afternoon, we may see 1-2 inches of new snow as we end the work and school week. You can get a look at the radar and your 7 Day outlook on the weather page of and by following the links below.
