CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Eric Locke was a trusted coach in Canton Township.
He was Canton High School's assistant hockey coach. But on Thursday he will be sentenced for an inappropriate relationship he had with a 15-year-old girl at the high school.

When the girl's mother found out about her daughter's relationship with a 20-year-old coach, she called police. Investigators had enough evidence in one to arrest Locke.
He pleaded guilty to criminal sexual conduct third degree, admitting to having a sexual relationship with a student from November 2016 through February 2017.
Thursday, he was sentenced to 2 years probation after it was revealed the girl lied about her age. He also won't be required to register as a sex offender.
