ADELAIDE, Australia – You thought your neighbor's dog was loud? Well, that is nothing compared a 6-year-old golden retriever from Adelaide, Australia. Charlie is the proud holder of the Guinness World Record for the loudest bark. He obliterated the competition with a 113.1-decibel woof that's louder than a car horn and only a few decibels short of a jet taking off. Owner Belinda Freebairn says he's actually a peaceful pup: "He doesn't bark at home at all really, he's really quiet." Charlie's monster voice box revealed itself when he was around a year old. "He just started to get that real deep bark and I knew he was really loud," Freebairn says.
