BRUCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Bruce Township Fire Department confirmed a grass fire Monday afternoon along M-53 Highway.
Southbound M-53 Highway temporarily was shut down at 34 Mile Road due to the fire along the highway.

Bruce Township firefighters were responding to the blaze. The firefighters were containing the fire which had spread across a good portion of brush and grass near the highway.
