Greektown plans $28.6 million parking project

DETROIT - Greektown Casino-Hotel has received bank financing for a $28.6 million parking garage project.

The casino is Detroit's smallest by revenue and is looking to spice up the competition with the new addition.

The garage will provide 850 free parking spaces and will also have an upscale restaurant on the ground floor. It will also have an elevated moving walkway.

The project will add 200 construction jobs and an unknown number of permanent jobs.

The parking garage is under construction.
