Gun inside man's luggage creates quick scare at Detroit Metro Airport

Man determined to be CPL holder

ROMULUS, Mich. – A man was taken into custody Wednesday after a gun was found inside his luggage at Detroit Metro Airport, officials said.

The gun was found at a security checkpoint during a scan.

Officials took the man into custody and determined he is a CPL holder.

The man will be cited and released for the ordinance violation.

Airport operations have returned to normal.
