I-94 reopens after raw sewage spill near Southfield Fwy.

Nobody injured in incident

ALLEN PARK, Mich. – All lanes of westbound I-94 have reopened near Southfield Freeway after only one lane was open Saturday morning because of a raw sewage spill.

Allen Park police said a truck either malfunctioned or broke and spilled the sewage on the roadway for about 15 yards.

The waste is from the water treatment facility and it isn't hazardous.

A few cars spun out because of the spill, but there were no injuries in the incident. The truck company was issued violations.

MDOT worked on the area. All of the lanes reopened Saturday afternoon.
