Investigators: Ex-substitute teacher admits to drugging, sexually abusing children

David Huntley attracted to children because of their 'natural scent'

MONROE, Mich. – It just keeps getting worse -- the accusations against a former substitute teacher are now piling up as investigators discover more child porn.

It's hard to believe, but the newest revelations against David Huntley are even worse than what Local 4 learned last week.

Investigators said the Monroe man has now admitted to drugging and sexually abusing children.

The former Monroe-area substitute teacher is now facing federal charges for possessing and distributing millions of images depicting child pornography.

He told investigators he's been sexually abusing children "whenever he gets the chance" over the years.

In a federal complaint, Huntley admitted he is attracted to children who have not matured because of their "natural scent."

Officials said Huntley claimed that he drugged a 12-year-old family member and sexually assaulted her. He also admitted to abusing a 10-year-old girl in a hot tub.

Michigan State Police said they have gotten a call from a person who said Huntley sexually assaulted them.

Investigators are now wanting to hear from anyone who thinks Huntley may have had contact with their child or took pictures of their child.

"If they know, if there is information out there that he's been filming loved ones, then we need to know so that gets investigated and he gets charged with that as well," said MSP Lt. Tony Cuevas.
