DETROIT - John Skelton, the father of three missing boys from Morenci, talked with a Local 4 reporter this week about his sons.
Skelton said he believes his children were being abused. He said he reached out for help from a group of people who rescue children.
He said he agreed to give the boys up to the group for just one night, Thanksgiving night. He said it was supposed to be a "trial run" but he never saw his boys or the people from the group again.
Skelton is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning. He is charged with parental kidnapping in the disappearance. The boys were last seen at Skelton's home in Morenci, located along the Michigan-Ohio state line.
