President-elect Donald Trump held his first full news conference Wednesday since winning the 2016 presidential election.

DTE Energy: Worker robbed at gunpoint while guarding downed wire in Detroit

A DTE Energy worker was robbed early Wednesday morning while guarding a downed wire on Howell Street on Detroit's west side, the utility company said. 

28,000 people without power in SE Michigan due to severe winds, DTE says

About 28,000 people in southeast Michigan are without power due to severe winds, DTE Energy announced. That number is down from 70,000.

89-year-old man killed in Pontiac house fire

An 89-year-old man was killed Wednesday morning when a fire broke out at his home on Draper Avenue in Pontiac. Waterford Township Fire Department officials said there was no heat in the house and they suspect whatever the man was using as a heat source, perhaps an oven, may have caused this fire.
