4 things to watch for -- Thursday, October 10th

By Matt Morawski - Executive Producer, Kim DeGiulio

Kim DeGiulio:

What a beautiful fall week it has been. I'm a summer lover but these fall temps have been really nice!
Yesterday, I spent the day putting away my summer clothes and bringing out the fall/winter clothes. It's a long process but it went well. I recently discovered selling things on Poshmark. It's an app for selling and buying slightly used clothes. I've already made $200 on the app and I'm hoping to make more from some of my summer clothes I posted on there yesterday.

I have a heavy heart this week as I said goodbye to a family member on Monday. My grandpas brother, Tom Dickieson, passed away last Friday. The funeral was a beautiful celebration of his life but it was still hard to say goodbye. We are so lucky he lived to be 98 years old. What a wonderful blessing, right? However, no matter the age, I really struggle wrapping my head around death. I'm going to miss seeing my great uncle and my heart hurts when I think about my grandpa saying goodbye to his big brother. My whole extended family gets together every Christmas and a couple other times during the year. I'm going to miss his funny personality the next time we all get together but I know we will all get to talk about the good times we shared with him.

Sorry to be so depressing this week! Thanks for reading. Have a great rest of your week.

Here's what's coming up on Thursday, October 10, 2019 on Local 4 News Today

All Morning -- Warmer Weather

Brandon Roux: Thursday is going to be both a little warmer and just a little more humid. I don't think we'll really feel the difference as sunshine brings highs again into the low 70s. We probably will feel more of a difference in mugginess on Friday as a mix of sun and clouds and warmer air will lead us into the low 70s. The humidity won't be an issue for outdoor exercising or working outside but it is a sign of some wet weather moving in. New model data suggests the rain and isolated thundershowers will hold off until after midnight, so your Friday evening plans should be dry.
