Detroit public schools greeted by power outages, pandemic uncertainty as semester begins
Tuesday is the first day of school for the Detroit Public Schools Community District, and with severe weather causing power outages in the area and the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic creating uncertainty, it’s far from a normal beginning to the fall semester.
