2 charged with murder for I-94 crash that killed 4

ROMULUS, Mich. – The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has charged two people with multiple counts of second-degree murder for a September, 22 2013, car crash that killed four people.

Following a fight, JeQuis Tina-Dominique Mayes, 24, drove away and was pursued by her boyfriend Erroll Ramone Milliner, 28, in his car. Both defendants were allegedly speeding.

Mayes failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed through a fence.  Her car went airborne and landed on another vehicle traveling on eastbound I-94.  Milliner also failed to stop at the stop sign and ran off the road.

Passengers in Mayes' car were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Dkeya Hodges, 20 of Detroit, died at the hospital from injuries she sustained while riding in Mayes car.  Jimmie Barnett, 71, Angie Battle, 52, and Rosie Glenn, 66, were killed when Mayes' car hit their Ford on I-94.

Milliner and Mayes were taken into custody Thursday by the Detroit police.

They will be arraigned by video in the 34th District Court in Romulus.
