DETROIT – Celebrate the season and visit more than 60 venues for free in Detroit during the annual "Noel Night."
During the event, several Midtown institutions will open their doors to the public by offering free admission, including the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, the Detroit Historical Museum, and the Detroit Public Library.

The event starts on Saturday, Dec. 1st, from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. in the area of Cass Avenue, John R Road, Kirby and Willis streets.
The festivities are put together by Midtown Detroit, Inc., a nonprofit organization that aims to supports economic growth in the city.
Event goers can take a horse-drawn carriage ride and do some holiday shopping in the cultural center of the city.
Kids can participate in craft activities and more than 120 music, theatre, and dance groups will be on hand to perform.
The night will end with public caroling on Woodward Avenue.
The sing-along, led by the Salvation Army Band is a tradition for the 40th annual event.
Organizers say a free shuttle service is offered between participating locations.
