DETROIT - Detroit's first Monday of Autumn begins cold with lows less than 40 degrees. As parents get jackets and cocoa ready for kids, streets will be dry and sunny skies will emerge.

Monday night will be fair and chilly with lows in the 40s.

Milder weather returns to Motown Tuesday with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 70s. Wednesday will have cloudier skies with evening and nighttime showers and highs just above 70 degrees.
