Cold start, cool finish Monday

First Monday of Fall offers cool but bright weather

DETROIT – Detroit's first Monday of Autumn begins cold with lows less than 40 degrees. As parents get jackets and cocoa ready for kids, streets will be dry and sunny skies will emerge. 

Monday afternoon will be cool with highs in the middle 60s, and sunglasses will remain a necessity all day.

Monday night will be fair and chilly with lows in the 40s.

Milder weather returns to Motown Tuesday with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 70s. Wednesday will have cloudier skies with evening and nighttime showers and highs just above 70 degrees.

Thursday and Friday will be sunny but cooler again with highs in the 60s.
