DETROIT - Police say the search continues for a convicted carjacker who escaped from a state correctional facility on Detroit's eastside.

Police say 25-year-old Adrian O'Brian Clay escaped Saturday morning from the Detroit Reentry Center.

State police said in a statement Monday that the search for Clay continues and investigators are seeking tips from the public.

Corrections records show Clay was sentenced in 2005 for carjacking and weapons offenses. He was paroled earlier this month and assigned to the Reentry Center.

Clay is described by police as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 161 pounds.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Clay is asked to contact the Michigan State Police at (877) 616-4677.
