DETROIT – Another downtown Detroit development project is getting a boost.
The Detroit Brownfield Redevelopment Authority has approved a tax increment plan for the old Milner Hotel on Centre Street at John R. Street, not far from Grand Circus Park.

The tax plan will help Princeton Management in removing asbestos from the 10-story building. It also will help convert the building into higher-end apartments on the upper floors with retail and commercial space on the 1st and 2nd floors.
The renovated building will be called The Ashley.
