DPD hosts 29th annual National Night Out activities

The Detroit Police Department is hosting activities aimed at making neighborhoods safer

DETROIT – The Detroit Police Department, along with members of the community and businesses, is celebrating the 2012 annual National Night Out campaign.

Detroit's NNO festivities are among the largest in the state and draws families from all across the city.

The crime awareness event is aimed at reinforcing police and community partnerships in the interests of safer and cleaner neighborhoods.

Detroit Police Chief Ralph L. Godbee, Jr. will be in attendance at several of the citywide National Night Out events.

The following is locations and times for all National Night Out activities in Detroit:

Central District
7310 Woodward Avenue
4P - 9P
Refreshments, various vendors, pony rides, bouncers, train rides, dunk tank, marching band, Health Department information, and Jazz band.
