DETROIT – Detroit firefighters helped pull a man from a burning home Friday in the 3000 block of Stockton Street on the city's east side.

A woman living in the house was able to escape after the fire broke near the front of the home. However, her boyfriend had to be pulled out by firefighters.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where it is unclear what his condition is.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire.
