DETROIT – The city of Detroit announces they've opened four cooling centers throughout the city so residents can stay safe during the heat wave we're experiencing.
The hours and locations are below:

- Crowell Community Center, 16630 Lahser Road, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Patton Community Center, 2301 Woodmere Street, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Lasky Recreation Center, 13200 Fenelon Street, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Heilmann Recreation Center, 19601 Crusade Street, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The centers are open Monday through Friday.
