DETROIT – Local, gospel sensation Kierra Sheard is sponsoring a Sickle Cell Anemia benefit concert called, "Juanita's Music for the Cure."
In addition to gracing the audience with her deep and soulful vocals, Ms. Sheard is also donating $1,000 to a child who is suffering from the disease. The funds will be applied to numerous medical expenses associated with the illness.

"Moms with Sickle Cell", a website that provides encouragement and assistance to mothers living with Sickle Cell, will also donate $1,000.
The event is happening tonight, January 26th at 7 p.m. It's at the Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ located on 19190 Schaefer Highway in Detroit.
Ms. Sheard can be seen on her family's hit, reality television show , "The Sheards."
