DETROIT – Crews are on the scene of Puritan and Steel Streets in Detroit after a van crashed into 2 electric poles.
Police were dispatched to the scene around 2:30 Monday morning. When they arrived, the van was seriously damaged and 2 power poles were down.

The accident closed the intersection of Puritan and Steel while crews made repairs. This area is normally handled by Detroit Power and Light, but due to recent budget cuts, DTE took over repairs.
So far, the condition of the driver is unknown.
