DETROIT – 
Local 4 stopped at the house where the Friday night shooting took place on Winthrop Street.
The family understandably was too distraught to come out and talk. Instead, they talked through a crack in the door, asking for everyone to pray for their family.
As of Monday night, 28-year-old FerDarius Shine is in a psychiatric hospital after he turned himself in. Police say the Detroit man shot and killed his 68-year-old grandmother, Geraldine Bates, and his 49-year-old aunt, Santangela Williams, at the home on Winthrop Street. Police say he also shot his 7-year-old daughter, Amera Jones. Police say Shine had been struggling from mental issues.

After the shooting, Shine fled on his bicycle. Investigators found a gun at the home and later found out Shine did have a concealed weapons license.
The question now: How did he get the license with a mental condition? Or, did he get the license before he was diagnosed?
While investigators search for answers, Amera tries to recover from her injuries and the emotional pain, wondering why her father would shoot her.
There have not been any charges filed against Shine at this time, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office says.
Amera has undergone surgeries and, according to published reports, she is not talking but is responding by squeezing hands.
