Sun on Friday will bring warmer temps to your neighborhood

Snow ending early to partly cloudy skies

By Paul Gross - Meteorologist

DETROIT - Light overnight snow is ending, and skies will become at least partly cloudy during the day.

It's going to be milder, too, with highs in the low 30s.

Partly cloudy tonight, with lows in the mid to upper 20s.

Then even warmer on Saturday with partly cloudy skies, as highs soar to near 40!

Clouds increase on Sunday as an Arctic cold front approaches from the northwest, and a big storm goes up the coast to our east (we'll spend most of the day in between the two).

Highs should reach the mid 30s before the Arctic air arrives.

Then Monday through Thursday will be very cold, all with highs in the teens and lows in the single numbers.  If you are going to either the Winter Classic Alumni Games on Tuesday or the Wings / Maple Leafs game on Wednesday, plan now for the cold!
