Cloud cover for most of the day

DETROIT - Cloud cover is around this morning and will be for a good part of your Tuesday.

Morning lows are in the low and middle 30s but it would be cooler if not for the clouds blanketing SE Michigan.

Afternoon highs will be near 50 degrees with the wind blowing off the big lakes E 5-10 mph.

Enough lake effect moisture pumping in will keep the clouds with us as only partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies through the afternoon.

We have removed the rain from Wednesday as temps start to warm up a bit.

We will start a bit warmer near 40 degrees early tomorrow and then highs will climb to near 60 degrees in the afternoon.

Skies will be partly sunny and the rain system we're tracking to the west, will hold off until overnight and early Thursday.

So, Thursday is Halloween and it doesn't look good. Rain showers will start early and will be trouble for the morning commute.

Rain will come in a couple of waves through the afternoon and evening.

Keep the ponchos and umbrellas handy as you head out with the kids.

The good news is, highs will climb into the low or middle 60s Thursday with warmer winds SW 10-25 mph making things warm, wet, and windy.

A few lighter showers will linger into early Friday.
