WESTLAND, Mich. – The neighbor of an elderly Westland couple will stand trial on accusations he stabbed them.
Jeff Peters, 50, was bound over for trial Thursday. He's charged with assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and bodily harm less than murder and first-degree home invasion in the July attack.
Peters allegedly used a folding knife to stab the husband -- and eventually his wife when she came to help her husband.
Peters walked away from the scene but was arrested at his house nearby.
The couple, who is in their 70s, is recovering at Oakwood Hospital.
