CLAWSON, Mich. – A man was caught on a home’s video surveillance camera creeping around homes and vehicles Thursday morning in Clawson.
Residents noticed their vehicles were rifled through and items were stolen.
Twelve unlocked vehicles were broken into and credit cards were taken from inside, only to be used moments later.
One resident on Charlevoix Street has a doorbell camera that captured a man walking around in the neighborhood. The man looks to be about 50 years old and walks with a limp.
Police are warning residents to lock their vehicles.
"I see the news all the time with people catching people stealing packages," Clawson police Chief Harry Anderson said. "Video is always great."
Anyone who can identify the man in the video is asked to contact the Clawson Police Department.
