Man wanted for robbing bank in Washington Township

Macomb County Sheriff says man targeted 'Best Bank' in Kroger store before fleeing in teal Pontiac Sunfire

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - The Macomb County Sheriff's Office has released photos of man it said robbed a bank in Washington Township on Tuesday.

Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said the man went up to a teller at the Best Bank inside a Kroger grocery store on Van Dyke and 30 Mile road, slipped a note demanding cash and implied he had a weapon.

No one was hurt but the robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He was seen leaving the store in a teal colored Pontiac Sunfire.

Anyone who recognizes the man or who has information on the robbery is asked to call the Macomb County Sheriff's Office at 586-307-9358.
