The Detroit Red Wings and Pistons are both planning moves to a new arena downtown, which would bring an end to the Palace of Auburn Hills and Joe Louis Arena.

The Joe will be torn down, as a part of a deal that was made during Detroit's bankruptcy deal.

The future of the Palace is uncertain, but there have been rumors of a full takeover of the land, which would include demolishing the Palace.

The three major venues hold many memories for Michigan sports fans, from championship sports runs, to concerts and family events.

All three of the venues, in their primes, were regarded as top notch facilities.
