Metro Detroit family traveling to Disney World as Hurricane Irma nears Florida misses flight

ROMULUS, Mich. - A family from Macomb Township was all ready to fly out of Detroit Metro Airport to Florida on Friday despite Hurricane Irma approaching the state.

The members of the Bernardi family were headed to Disney World when they stopped to talk to Local 4.

That brief stop caused them to miss their flight, though. They took it as a sign and opted to stay home.
