Metro Detroit forecast has everything in it!

Warmth, wind, rain, snow, and cold all on the way

By Paul Gross - Meteorologist

DETROIT - Get ready for a wild weather ride starting this weekend into early next week. We'll get just about everything!

Tonight will start with some scattered, light evening showers. The rain will end and wind will actually diminish quickly after the cold front passes by, leaving us with mostly clear skies by morning. Lows in the upper 30s.

Friday looks great, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 60s. Mostly clear Friday night, with lows near 40.

Saturday will be a fantastic day to start the weekend, with partly cloudy skies, and highs in the upper 60s -- perhaps even low 70s in the warmest spots! Clouds increase Saturday night, but it should remain dry and pleasant for our Saturday evening plans. Showers develop later at night, with lows in the low 50s.

Rain likely Sunday into Sunday night, with highs in the low 60s, and lows Sunday night near 40.

Rain likely on Monday, then mixing with some wet snow by late afternoon or early evening. Temps remain in the 40s all day long, which is well above freezing, so any wet snow we get shouldn't accumulate much, if at all. Monday will be windy as well, so get ready for a very raw, uncomfortable day. The greater concern is the amount of rain we'll get Sunday into Monday...we could easily receive between one and two inches of rain, which could potentially cause some flood problems.

I'll keep you posted on these developments, and remember to follow me on Twitter at @PaulGrossLocal4.

Wet snow ends Monday evening, with lows in the mid 20 by Tuesday morning. Continued cold on Tuesday under partly cloudy skies, with highs only in the upper 30s (that's right, upper 30s). Still cold Tuesday night, with lows in the upper 20s.

By the way, don't worry about these temperatures affecting your tulips that are starting to pop up -- they are hardy plants this early in the season, and they can handle it.

Mostly sunny on Wednesday, with highs in the mid 40s, then partly cloudy on Thursday, with highs in the upper 40s.
