Woman dies after being pinned between 2 vehicles in Birmingham parking lot

Police say Michaele Love was trying to move stalled car when it rolled back

BIRMINGHAM, Mich. – Friends and family are mourning the loss of a 45-year-old woman who died after being pinned between two vehicles in a Birmingham parking lot.

Police said Michaele Love was found in the lot in the 300 block of North Old Woodward Monday afternoon.

Love had been attempting to push her stalled van out of the driving lane of the parking lot when it began to roll. Her open door hit a parked car causing her van to stop, pinning Love between the two vehicles. A witness to the accident called the police.

Love was freed by firefighters and police, but was unresponsive. She was rushed to Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police say Love, a resident of Roseville, was picking up the child she was babysitting at the school next door to the parking lot when the accident occurred.
