Last Day Dog Rescue says nearly 500 animals are being kept at Oakland County Animal Control and Pet Adoption Center, and the air conditioning has been out for several days.

The rescue group is asking the public to adopt or foster animals from Oakland County if possible. If not, they're asking people to donate frozen water bottles or fans to help cool the animals down.
