Dock worker run over, killed at USF Holland lot in Romulus

Worker hit by semi-truck in lot off Wick Road

ROMULUS, Mich. – A dock worker at a trucking company in Romulus died early Wednesday morning after being run over.

The worker, a 40-year-old man from Southgate, was hit by a semi-truck and trailer just after midnight in a lot at USF Holland, which is at Wick and Inkster roads.

The incident shut down Wick Road for several hours and dozens of semi-trucks were backed up waiting to get into the lot to pick up their materials.

The worker's name has not yet been released.
