Ford Field hosts Michigan high school football championships

Michigan high school football teams head to Detroit for championship games this weekend

DETROIT – The Michigan High School Sports Association's state championship football games are at Detroit's Ford Field this weekend.

The championship games kick off Friday morning with the Division 8 game between Beal City and Harbor Beach.

The Division 2 game between Birmingham Brother Rice and Muskegon kicks off at 1 p.m. Friday followed by the Division 6 game (Ithaca vs. Constantine) at 4:30 p.m. and the Division 4 game (Grand Rapids South Christian vs. Detroit Country Day) at 7:30 p.m.

The Division 1 game at 1 p.m. Saturday showcases a rematch between defending champions Detroit Cass Tech and runners up Detroit Catholic Central.
