Man breaks into 2 homes, targets sleeping women

Suspect made sexual advances in 2 break-ins

REDFORD – Police are searching for a man who broke into two Redford homes and made sexual advances toward women in those homes Friday morning.

The first incident happened around 3:20 a.m. in the 14000 block of San Jose Avenue near Inkster Road and Lyndon Street. The suspect entered the home, possibly through an unlocked door, and woke a woman in her 20s. She was asleep on the couch when she awoke to the man inside her home. The suspect fled the scene once he realized the woman wasn't home alone.

The second break-in was around 4:50 a.m. in the 15500 block of Lexington Street near Five Mile Road and Inkster Road. The suspected reached through an open window and grabbed a woman in her 60s by the arm. The woman heard the man make a sexual remark towards her through the open window before he grabbed her and fled the area.

The suspect is a black man, 5 foot 7 inches tall and 150 to 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a striped polo shirt and mesh shorts. He fled both locations by unknown means.
